Goodbye to Alice

A picture book from childhood spread out under my bed,
Mama and papa didn't know that I had taken it.

Hey there, Usagi-san.
Won't you stop time again?
I want to stay here, a young girl.

A realm of fantasy,
Adventure just for me,
I'm not ready to step outside into the world.

Take be away from here, I want be,
somewhere else--just you and me.
Take me to sweeter dreams, take me to fantasy,
Just take me far away.

Where everything is oh-so magical,
And anything can happen, oh,
I can't wait to sleep,
Oh, I can't wait to dream
of an escape from this reality.

I can take it,
No need to soften the blow.
I am older,
I can keep up with the flow.

Hello, Usagi-san.
How are you recently?
Well, actually, never mind.

I must be off, you see.
The world is calling me.
I'd stick around, but now I haven't got the time.

Just get away from here, I want be,
somewhere else--alone--just me,
I don't have time for dreams,
This is reality.
So please go far-away.

The world is cruel, and magic can't exist,
I'm getting too old for this.
I don't have time to play,
I don't have time to stay,
So goodbye to my sweet childhood.

Apart of me is filling with regret,
Part of me's not ready yet.
Maybe just one more time,
Magic and lullabies can whisk me far from here...

The world is cruel, and magic can't exist,
I'm getting too old for this.
I don't have time to play,
I don't have time to stay,
So goodbye to my sweet childhood

I really wish that you could!

Take me away from here, I want be,
somewhere else--just you and me.
Take me to sweeter dreams, take me to fantasy,
Just take me far away.

LALALALALA.

And that picture book, I used to love so much,
It's burning, vanishing into the dust.
