You and Beautiful World

This world can be so beautiful,
And oh-so perfect, too.
As the clock begins to tick and turn,
I stand and wait for you.
As time drags on the world grows dim,
the colors start to fade.
They drip and start to ruin
the canvas that we've made,
It's fading away...
Save me...

I desperately, want to tell you anyway!
I know it's pathetic,
You know what? Forget it.
I can't find the words to say.

Even though,
My heart knows what it means.
I want to push through this,
But I still can't do it,
I mean,
Look at me.
Falling apart,
All over again.


I suppose these words don't matter much,
If I don't do a thing.
I'm going to have to fight this blush,
And finally say something.

I don't need some kind of fantasy,
I just want you to say;
"Everything will be alright, you'll see.
It's okay if you stay."
To be by your side...
That's all I need...


Someone's hope,
Their lack of words,
Discarded love,
Their joys ; their hurts,
Are wrapped and held,
within the arms,
of this whole world,
softly -- gently.
